I know I have been off the map lately and that is for a reason. Sometimes I think about how life can be so crazy and uncertain that it changes who you are in a way.
As much as I hate to say that, I have to be honest with myself about it. I still struggle as I write this tonight but I also know that I can live and learn through the struggle with my God. He can USE my struggle for the good and for His glory.
I want you to read that again if you are going through a situation that feels absolutely impossible and just too much to bear. The kind of situation that makes you feel like pulling away from God instead of drawing near to Him.
This is where I have been for a while now. I have truly felt unworthy of His love.
I know for a fact that I am not the only one that has felt this way while going through a hard time in life.
God has shown me lately that He is sovereign and He can handle this without me getting my dirty hands in it.
Sometimes that is the very issue! We want to put our sinful hands in a situation that only God can make right with His perfect hands.
Paul says to “throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles us” (Hebrews 12.1 NIV). Every day we have a chance to renew our mind in Christ.
This allows Him to take all that burdens us so we can run “the race marked for us.” These burdens become sin that trips us up and slows us down. Giving it to God may seem scary at first, but our surrender will bring us pure freedom.
Letting go is a daily, moment-by-moment choice. Like every discipline in life, we must learn to surrender to God. The enemy seeks every new day to cloud our mind with worries, doubts, and fears.
Trust me, I would know! The kind of negativity that makes you feel unworthy and that God could never love a person like you. The devil wants there to be no room left for God in our lives. Surrendering to God becomes a lifestyle of daily giving it all to Him. We have the choose this every morning when we wake up.
