How many times do we ask this question after saying a prayer and not feeling like we get an answer in our time frame?
Let me remind you of something. God is not on our time zone. He is on eternal time. God see’s what you’re struggling with. He see’s and He is working on it right now.
But let me also give you something to think about that I have noticed that God has done in my life here recently.
The past couple of days I have felt very on the rocks with some of the things I am dealing with in life. The kind of feeling you get when you just want to raise your white flag and say, yep I’m done. I am just going to lay here and feel sorry for myself because I don’t know what else to do in this moment.
You know, the kind of feelings that we let dictate our actions and attitude.
I prayed over what I have been struggling with saying: “God, are you there?? Do you hear me speaking to you? I feel desperate and I need you right now, God! Where are you?”
I am certain that God was looking down at me laughing saying, “Child, do you know how small this is compared to how big I am?”
The whole time I was reminding myself of all the truths God has written in His very special book to us. “If God is for us, then who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). He has a plan for my life. Calm your soul and trust Him.
As some time went on and I was reminding myself of the truths, I felt a comfort over me right away. A comfort that says everything is going to be okay no matter what the outcome is. I knew it would be okay because I know my God will never forsake me or let anything happen that I can not handle.
God may let us have burdens, but not without helping us with them.
I am also realizing that sometimes we have expectations on our prayers that we want answered. Well let me tell you something.
“Sometimes God loves us too much to do the very thing we’re begging Him to do” – Lysa Terkeurst
What I have come to realize is that sometimes the answer is God giving us the courage to stand up to the Giant.
Giving us the patience to speak with kindness and sticking up for what we believe as a person.
God has our back no matter what. We gotta remember this.
We also have to remember that we are ALL a work in progress. None of us are perfect which means ALL of us need GOD!!!
All of us. But remember this as well, GOD NEVER GIVES UP ON HIS CHILDREN.
God has a funny way of doing things in our lives that seem so ordinary but yet turn out extraordinary!!!!!

Amen sister! Loved this bit of content. And I feel you are right. Sometimes /God does not give you what you want because he is helping you. I have noticed this. I will follow your blog!
