Oh Lord, why does my mind always struggle with making sure everything I do is up to standards of what everyone else thinks?
One of the easiest things to do is seek approval from other people on what your next step in life should be.
When really the only approval we should be looking for is God’s! I know that His will is all I want for my life but yet I seek it from friends, family, and my husband.
While our friends, family, and spouse try to help us when we are struggling, they aren’t always going to give us the perfect advice. We also won’t always be able to help ourselves the way we want to. God, however, is always going to show up. He’s always going to be there with the perfect advice, at the perfect time, with the perfect answers.
He is consistently on our side, trying to push us in the right direction. Our Lord Jesus Christ, the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15), is “the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
When we put the future of our lives into other humans hands, our life becomes very flimsy and hard to understand! But when we put it into the hands of our Heavenly Father, everything changes.
I continue to go through seasons of doubt and insecurities with myself. I struggle with it like everyone else does, but I do realize that God has got my back more than any other human ever possibly could.
Humans are prone to make mistakes and misunderstand everything we face. We are fully capable of making an even greater mess of things. However Deuteronomy 32:4 says “His works are perfect, and all His ways are just.”
This means God doesn’t get it wrong, EVER. God simply can’t make the mistakes that we do! This is why we NEED HIM! When we trust in Him and give Him control, we know that He will guide us down the right path.
Psalm 139 tells us that God is familiar with all our ways – where we’ve been, what we’re doing now, and where we’re going. Exercise true faith in Him by being assured and convinced that God is ABSOLUTELY in full control. You are never alone. EVER.
Sweet friends, God is on your side and He is worthy of it all! He knows exactly what He is doing. He has proven Himself and He wants to guide you on the right path, but can only do so if you let Him.
I want to end things today with a prayer from Debbie McDaniel:
Dear God,
We confess our need for you today. We need your healing and your grace. We need hope restored. We need to be reminded that you work on behalf of those you love, constantly, powerfully, completely. Forgive us for trying to fix our situations all on our own. Forgive us for running all different directions and spinning our wheels to find help, when true help and healing must be found first in You. Forgive us for forgetting how much we need you, above everyone and everything else. We come to you and bring you the places we are hurting. You see where no one else is able to fully see or understand. You know the pain we’ve carried. The burdens. The cares. You know where we need to be set free. We ask for your healing and grace to cover every broken place. Every wound. Every heartache. Thank you that you are Able to do far more than we could ever imagine. Thank you for your Mighty Power that acts on behalf of your children. We reach out to you, and know that you are restoring and redeeming every place of difficulty, every battle, for your greater glory. Thank you that you will never waste our pain and suffering. We release to you this day every need and problem we’ve carried or tried hard to control. We believe in your goodness to see us through. We love you. We need you today.

Thank you so much for this much needed message of encouragement. Such an important reminder for me! Blessings ❤
