I know for some people faith can be a very odd thing because it’s something you can’t see but just have to somehow believe.
“Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)
This is actually one of the reasons why some people struggle with believing in God.
I understand why it can be hard for sure. But what we need to realize is that faith as small as a mustard seed is all it takes to move mountains!!!
Matthew 17:20 “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Clearly it does not take much! Just a small ounce of faith can do so much!
When tragic things happen, putting faith in God means we believe, no matter how bad things look, that God will work them together for good (Romans 8:28)
When God says he will work all things for good, there is no exception. Too often, we look at what we are experiencing and cannot fathom how it will work out, but that’s exactly when we need to place that situation into our Father’s hands. They are the very hands that created the world and we can rest, knowing that He has things under control. That is where your FAITH comes in.
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!” (Luke 12:27-28)
Having faith is something that we ALL need to enter the doors of heaven. Lets take a minute and pray to God saying…
“Dear Lord, I cannot see you but I trust that you are there. I trust that you hold the world in the palm of your hand. Help me to live every day with this perspective. Help me to understand that faith is found in the small actions of kindness I make. When we comfort the grieving, when we give help to the homeless, we are declaring your victory. Amen“
